Upward Bound Students Selected to Attend Conference in Washington, D.C.

The CLU Upward Bound Program has selected two high school students from the Oxnard Union High School District – Moises Plascencia and Yau Lee – to participate in the Council for Opportunity in Education Policy Seminar in Washington, D.C., from March 23–27.

CLU Upward Bound Students to Explore Career Options

Traditional Upward Bound students at CLU will be exploring a variety of careers during "Career Fair 2003" on Saturday, March 8, from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in Overton Hall. Community Leaders Name William E. Hamm Award Recipient

Ed Holt of Thousand Oaks has been selected as the recipient of the William E. Hamm Outstanding Service Award by the CLU Community Leaders Association. The award, which is presented annually to a member who has shown exemplary service, was presented to Holt on Feb. 2 during the Community Leader's annual membership brunch.

CLU to Offer Special Education Credential Program at College of the Canyons

CLU has recently entered into a partnership with College of the Canyons to offer a special education credential program for educators who hold an emergency permit or pre–intern certificate. The program, which will begin on the community college's Santa Clarita campus this summer, includes a master's degree option.
