Humanitarian Concerns

Lynn (Wirthlin ’85) Lewis spent many years as a missionary in St. Petersburg, Russia (through her work with Church Resource Ministries).  She and her family moved to Haifa, Israel to continue missionary work in 1998.  She received a master’s in biblical counseling from Grace Theological Seminary in Indiana.  Lynn has had various speaking engagements at a number of churches as part of her visiting ministry.  Through her overseas ministry, she has taught the Billings Ovulation Method of Natural Family Planning to Russian and other missionary couples.  Along with counseling and discipleship, Lynn’s work in Russia has also included leadership development in churches.  She states that her family “goes where the Lord leads us.”  She also believes that some of her most significant accomplishments have included learning to speak Russian and to teach natural family planning in the Russian language.
