Artist Talk with Madeleine Ignon

Artist Madeleine Ignon will discuss the works featured in hold on & let go, reflecting on the last decade of her multimedia practice and the intersections of painting, graphic design, craft and motherhood that inform the exhibition. She will discuss her use of layered spaces, quiltmaking logics, text and the materiality of canvas, as well as the role of language and lived experience in shaping her images.

A public reception will follow from 4:30–5:30 p.m., offering an opportunity to continue the conversation, meet the artist and view the exhibit.

The exhibit continues through March 10 in the William Rolland Art Center. Hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays.
