Junior Recital: Contrabass & Composition

Contrabassist and composer Julian Perez presents his 2026 junior recital. This evening of dynamic and diverse music will feature works from some of the great composers of romantic double bass solo literature, in addition to many pieces by the student composer himself.

Ranging from soft and evocative piano solos to a full folk band performing original pieces that harken the sound of the Huanyo music of Peru, this is a showcase of bold music that will transport audience members across many avenues of genre, style and emotion.
