About

I am a social psychologist that explores the impact of different types of identities on social and behavioral outcomes.  My research focuses on the stereotyping, prejudice, and discrimination a person experiences based on the intersectionality of their identities, including race/ethnicity, religion, gender, and mental health status, particularly in the criminal justice system.  In specific, I explore how juror and parole board decision-making could be influenced by the intersectional identities of a defendant and incarcerated person.
