About

Rev. Katy Grindberg has been an ordained minister of word and sacrament in the ELCA since 2008. A 2006 MDiv graduate of PLTS she pursued an MA in Liturgical Students through the Graduate Theological Union, focusing on the cross section of worship and ethics, with a specific focus on the Lord's Supper. er MA thesis is titled In Faith Toward God and In Fervent Love Toward One Another: A Lutheran Eucharistic Ethic for the 21st Century and the degree was conferred in 2009. Katy has served as a congregational pastor and for nine years as Assistant to the Bishop before starting at PLTS in September 2020. 

Katy's first career was as a Certified Athletic Trainer and worked for 11 years at the University of Kansas as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer and Assistant Athletic Trainer in the Athletics Department, and for 8 years, as an Instructor in the Health, Sports, and Exercise Science Department, specifically teaching courses in the athletic training major.
