About

Dr. Lopez is an adjunct professor teaching the in doctoral clinical psychology program teaching courses including practicum, multicultural psychology, social psychology, and couples/family counseling. Outside of CalLutheran, she is the Associate Director at Learning Dynamics, Inc. which provides mental health services throughout central and southern California. In addition to administrative duties, she provides therapy and testing services to clients, and serves as a clinical supervisor to master’s and doctoral level trainees. Dr. Lopez is licensed as a Clinical Psychologist and as a Marriage and Family Therapist. She holds a doctorate and a master’s degree in clinical psychology, in addition to a master of science degree in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from California Lutheran University. She completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Cognitive Psychology from the University of California at Irvine. Her doctoral research examined relationships between verbal fluency performance and select demographics among Spanish-speaking Latino adults. She is experienced in providing therapeutic and assessment interventions in culturally sensitive, systemic, and strength-based modalities to persons of all ages. Dr. Lopez completed an APPIC accredited pre-doctoral internship in neuropsychology at the BRAINS Consortium in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where she provided neuropsychological assessment, therapy, and professional consultation services in a community mental health setting.
