Michael DeTerra is Senior Video Producer at California Lutheran University, creating multimedia content for marketing, recruitment, and university initiatives. He began his career as a staff videographer on multiple Semester at Sea voyages, where traveling around the world and capturing diverse stories in study abroad helped deepen his passion for storytelling and visual communication. A graduate of Washington State University with a focus in Broadcast Production, Michael has nearly 15 years of experience in video production, including work on commercial and film projects in Los Angeles. His work has received multiple Awards of Excellence from the University & College Designers Association (UCDA). He teaches sports and news broadcast production as an adjunct faculty member and enjoys mentoring students while sharing their stories through visual media.
