Patrick Lockwood, PsyD

About

Dr. Lockwood has been serving as a consultant in non-profits, marketing companies, and clinical treatment settings for almost 20 years. In addition, he brings 15 years of experience working in the mental health and addiction treatment space.  Given his extensive leadership experience in the Mental Health/Addiction treatment world, overseeing programs, improving their performance, helping them develop teams and train clinicians, and much more...Dr. Lockwood has become a thought leader regarding personnel management, mentorship, and systems improvement in the Southern California clinical community.

Dr. Lockwood has spent a decade mentoring and educating future MFTs and PsyDs at California Lutheran University as an adjunct and Visiting Lecturer. Among his favorite experiences is supervision and professional development of interns. Dr. Lockwood has mentored many new clinicians as they develop their professional identities on their path through licensure and into thriving clinical careers.

Using a unique combination of both clinical and consulting skills and knowledge, Dr. Lockwood has helped high performers thrive in companies like Fidelity Investments, GoodWill Industries, and many private treatment centers. He offers a spectrum of collaborative experiences, ranging from identifying personality-role goodness of fit, to strategic consulting sessions to improve performance in highly complex and dynamic work environments, to comprehensive evaluations and long term strategic performance improvement plans.

Dr. Lockwood is one part educator, one part consultant, and one part clinician— A rather unique blend!

Education

Dr. Lockwood graduated from University of Missouri (Go Tigers!) with a B.A. in psychology.

Dr. Lockwood graduated from TCSPP with a Doctorate of Psychology.
