About
My career path defies easy categorization, and I bring a unique and multifaceted perspective to the study of geography. My professional journey has been guided by an insatiable curiosity, leading me through roles as a newspaper reporter, business analyst, production manager, webmaster, GIS Analyst, and a certified Interpretive Naturalist. This non-linear path, supported by my degrees in Geography and Journalism and certificates in GIS and computer programming, is rooted in my core belief that geographic inquiry can be found everywhere.
I channel this diverse experience into creating a dynamic and practical learning environment. I believe that geography isn't just a subject to be studied, but a lens through which to engage with the world. Whether I'm explaining data visualization with the mind of a programmer or discussing environmental change with the perspective of a naturalist, my goal is to equip students with practical, tangible, and transferable skills.
Outside of academia, I dedicate my time to volunteering for environmental causes and exploring the outdoors with my wife and children.
