Interim Dean Selected to Oversee CLU’s School of Education

Randall Lindsey becomes Dean on July 15

Dr. Randall “Randy” Lindsey has been appointed as Interim Dean of the School of Education, announced President Luther Luedtke. His appointment became effective July 15.

Lindsey is well known to the School of Education faculty, having served as a skilled consultant to the school over the past four years. He brings a wealth of experience to this position, having most recently served as Distinguished Educator–in–Residence at the Graduate School of Education at Pepperdine. He was formerly chair of the Department of Education at Redlands, and he served as a member of the School of Education faculty at UCLA.

In addition, Lindsey has consulted with many school districts and the U.S. Air Force on issues ranging from working with at–risk youth to desegregation, multicultural education and cultural proficiency. His lifelong passion for education and the role that it can play in achieving equity and understanding among our nation’s ethnic groups has influenced all of his professional work and his long list of publications.

This fall CLU will convene a search committee to conduct a national search for a permanent Dean of the School of Education.
