New Members Inducted in CLU Scholastic Honor Society

University's highest academic honor bestowed on four students

California Lutheran University faculty bestowed the college’s highest honor on four students during Opening Academic Convocation on Aug. 28.

Faculty established the Scholastic Honor Society of California Lutheran University to recognize upper division students who have demonstrated consistent academic excellence and thus have contributed to CLU’s high standards of scholarship. Membership is limited to the top 5 percent of each graduating class and students must maintain the highest standards in their work throughout their academic careers to be considered.

The following students were elected following the spring 2007 semester:

• Tiffany Holzer, a criminal justice major from Granada Hills, Calif.

• Daniel Knauss, a psychology major from Tucson, Ariz.

• Anna Potter, an international studies major from Avon, Minn.

• Katherine Snyder, a biochemistry major from Simi Valley, Calif.

CLU is a selective liberal arts university located in Thousand Oaks, Calif., midway between Los Angeles and Santa Barbara. With an enrollment of more than 3,200 students, CLU offers 36 undergraduate majors in addition to several graduate programs within the College of Arts and Sciences, School of Business and School of Education. Doctoral degrees in educational leadership and higher education leadership are also offered.
