CLU Hires New Director for Graduate Enrollment

Administrator will oversee growing programs

California Lutheran University has hired an administrator to oversee enrollment for its growing graduate and adult programs.

Tom Hoener of Los Angeles took over as Executive Director of Graduate and Adult Enrollment on Aug. 28. He is in charge of marketing and admissions for the graduate programs and adult programs that are offered through CLU’s School of Business, School of Education and College of Arts and Sciences.

Hoener had served as the Director of Graduate Admissions at Mount St. Mary’s College in Los Angeles since 2004. He was the Director of Recruitment for the Graduate Division from 2002 to 2004. During his tenure with Mount St. Mary’s, Hoener created very successful marketing plans that resulted in a 30 percent increase in graduate enrollment.

Hoener received a bachelor’s degree in liberal arts and a master’s degree in counseling psychology from Mount St. Mary’s.
