(THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. – July 14, 2008) The inaugural California Lutheran University School of Business Platinum Award has been awarded to the president of Terry Farms in Ventura.

Edgar Terry earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in business administration from CLU. A member of the adjunct faculty, he has taught finance in the Adult Degree Evening and Master’s of Business Administration programs since 1987.

The Platinum Award was established to acknowledge adjunct business faculty who have demonstrated dedication and excellence in guiding their students’ education. Adjunct faculty members who share their academic and practical experience in the field as part-time instructors are valuable assets in CLU’s School of Business.

Terry has been the president and chief financial officer of Terry Farms, Inc., since 1982. He is the vice president of Rancho Adobe Corp., past president of the Ventura County Farm Bureau and past chairman of the Board of the Central Coast Federal Land Bank.

“Edgar is one of the most respected members of the agricultural community in Ventura County,” said Charles Maxey, Dean of the School of Business. “As a teacher and mentor, he is known for his high standards and expectations as well as his willingness to help students.”
