Don Hossler, Ed.D.
Career Achievement
Don Hossler received his B.A. degree in psychology from Cal Lutheran in 1971. He went on to earn his doctorate in the field of higher education from Claremont Graduate School. At the same time, he served as assistant dean of academic and student affairs for Cal Lutheran.
Since acquiring his doctorate, Don has established himself as the nationally recognized expert on enrollment management. In fact, he has been instrumental in the development of the concept itself--integrating student recruitment with retention and marketing. Don’s publications and presentations in this field are vast and provide ample evidence of his acknowledged expertise.
In addition to this work in enrollment management, Don serves as associate professor of educational leadership and policy studies at Indiana University. Besides his noted focus on enrollment management, Don has contributed widely to the literature and study of higher education administration.
Don has also assumed a leadership role in his local Lutheran worship community by teaching in the Adult Forum and organizing projects for world hunger relief programs.
