Mark Gulsrud ’72
Mark Gulsrud ’72 will speak about his work designing the stained glass windows in Samuelson Chapel and his family’s connections to Cal Lutheran.
A self-employed artist and designer who has worked primarily in architectural, cast and laminated glass for nearly four decades, Gulsrud graduated from Cal Lutheran with a bachelor’s degree in art. He completed an MFA in ceramics at the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, Washington.
His outstanding talents have been recognized and honored by the Interfaith Forum on the Arts and Architecture, Modern Liturgy Magazine and the American Crafts Council. His works have been featured in The Christian Science Monitor, American Craft Magazine, the Los Angeles Times and The Stained Glass Quarterly, and can be found throughout the United States, British Columbia and Western Europe.
