What is Admitted Student Day?
Admitted Student Day is a special on-campus event designed for first-year and transfer students who have been admitted to Cal Lutheran. The event allows students and their families to explore campus, attend academic sessions, connect with faculty and current students, and learn more about being a Cal Lutheran student!
When and where does Admitted Student Day take place?
Admitted Student Day will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2026 from 9 a.m.- 4 p.m. on the Cal Lutheran campus in Thousand Oaks (60 W. Olsen Road, Thousand Oaks, CA 91360).
What time should I arrive?
We recommend arriving by 8:30 a.m. to ensure you have enough time to park and check in before the welcome session begins at 9 a.m.
What does the day include?
The event includes:
- A welcome session
- Academic program sessions by major or interest area
- An Academic and Involvement Fair
- Opportunities to meet faculty and staff
- Campus tours
- Residence hall previews
- Resource tables for offices such as Financial Aid and Student Accounts
- Students can customize their experience by choosing sessions that match their interests.
Can families attend?
Yes. Family members are encouraged to attend and participate in sessions throughout the day. There are opportunities specifically designed to help families understand academic programs, financial aid, and campus life.
What departments will be available on Admitted Student Day?
We will have representatives from every academic department, Athletics, Financial Aid, Residence Life, Student Accounts, Academic Advising, Undergraduate and Transfer Admission, student clubs, the Office of the President and more!
Is lunch provided?
Yes. Lunch is provided during the event. Meal tickets are distributed at check-in, and guests may eat during the designated lunch window.
Will I be able to tour campus and see residence halls?
Yes. Campus tours and residence hall previews are available throughout the event. Staff and student ambassadors are present to answer questions about campus living and student life.
What should I wear?
Wear comfortable clothing and walking shoes, as you will be moving between buildings and touring parts of campus throughout the day.
Is Admitted Student Day mandatory?
No. Admitted Student Day is not mandatory but highly encouraged! It’s a great way to connect with our campus community. If you can’t make it on April 18, we recommend registering for one of our All-Access events!
Do I need to register?
Yes. Students and guests are required to register to secure their spot and receive event details.
Is there a fee to attend Admitted Student Day?
No. There is no fee for attending Admitted Student Day.
