Degree Confirmation
Degree confirmation includes four phases, which occur on a sequential timeline of dates. You'll need to take action by completing Phase 1 in order to launch Phase 2-4 on time.
Degree Confirmation Process
Phase 1: Degree Completion
Phase 1: Degree CompletionThis is the semester or term that you complete your final degree requirements, including incomplete work, courses taken outside Cal Lutheran, exams and more.
For information on tracking your degree requirements, refer to step one of the graduation process.
Phase 2: Degree Conferral
This is the date recorded on your transcript that signifies when your degree is officially recognized.
All of your degree requirements must be met by this date in order for your degree to be conferred.
Phase 3: Degree Posting
This is the date by which your degree is posted, 30-44 days after the date of degree conferral.
Your degree must be posted in order for details to appear on your transcript. Prior to ordering a transcript, we recommend that you wait until you get official confirmation of your degree conferral to your Cal Lutheran email address.
Phase 4: Diploma Delivery
Phase 4: Diploma DeliveryThis is the date by which you receive your diploma, an estimated timeframe based on degree posting date.

2024-25 Timeline of Degree Confirmation
Based on your semester or term of degree completion, Phases 2-4 will automatically occur by the following dates. Please note that degrees can be conferred and posted at only the five points listed below during the year.
