About: Jose is very excited for his third year on ASCLUG. In addition to being Senate Director, he is a Peer Success Coach and Administrative Assistant for the Center for Student Success and a Starbucks Barista. During his down time, Jose likes to go on hikes, cook, bake, and go to the beach. Most importantly, he would like to be a voice on campus that students can talk to for any of their concerns and he is very excited to see what ASCLUG accomplishes this year!

About: Gabriel “Gabe” Benitez is a first-year student at CLU. He is thrilled to serve his first term on the ASCLUG senate. In addition to ASCLUG, Gabe is a Student Athlete Advisory Committee representative. Gabe is a distance freestyler on the Kingsmen swim team, and he enjoys spending time with friends, going out to eat, and going on side quests when he’s not in the pool. Gabe is excited to experience ASCLUG and is eager to help out the CLU student body!

I am a Sports Psychology major with a passion for helping athletes in high and low-level Athletics, as well as kids just starting. When I'm not doing my duties as a senator, I train for powerlifting, swim meets, teach swim lessons, do personal training, photography, surfing, and more.
