City of Simi Valley-Campus to Career Workshop

On behalf of the City of Simi Valley, we would like to extend an invitation to Cal Lutheran to partner with us for our upcoming Campus to Career Workshop.

This event is designed to connect Cal Lutheran students/graduates with alumni working at the City of Simi Valley to learn about potential hiring opportunities and expand their professional network. This is a great avenue for Cal Lutheran Alumni to share their post-graduate experience working at the City of Simi Valley.

The workshop will consist of a short tour of City Hall followed by a networking lunch provided by the City, and will end with an informative Q&A panel from CalLu Alumni from various departments.

AGENDA FOR THE DAY

Wednesday, April 22ND 2026

1-1:30PM: Arrival and Introductions-Quick welcome address and introduction of the students. Students will be divided into small groups.

1:30-2pm: Walking Tour-Led by a City Alumni, students will tour the Senior Center, Library, Police Department and City Hall (5 min each stop).

2-2:30pm: Networking over Snacks: Snacks will be served at the Rose Garden of the Library. This will allow students and City Alumni to connect and expand their network.

2:30-3pm: Meet the City Manager-Step into her career journey and learn what it’s like to work in the public sector.

3-3:45pm: Q & A Panel- Selected City employee Alumni will share their journey post-grad and answer any questions that students may have.

4pm: Conclusion- We end our one-day workshop
