Peyton Beatty
Studied Abroad in Japan
Major: Multimedia with an emphasis in Animation, Motion Graphics, & Visual Effects | Minor: Communications, Women's & Gender Studies
"Traveling from Kyoto to Tokyo was more than just sightseeing; it was an entirely new way of life. I saw how Japanese culture weaves together history and modernity in a way that feels both intentional and harmonious. What struck me most was how accessibility and empathy were seamlessly built into everyday life. From textured sidewalks and gentle sounds guiding commuters to thoughtful portion sizes and peaceful public spaces, everything felt designed with care for others in mind. It showed me how inclusion can exist naturally, without needing to be announced.."

Major: Biological Sciences and Behavioral Justice Studies | Minor: Psychology, Philosophy, Criminology and Criminal Justice
"Oxford taught me rigor, to think with both precision and empathy, but it also taught me reverence: for beauty, for conversation, for the unending pursuit of knowledge. It was not merely an education; it was a transformation. To this day, when I close my eyes, I can still hear the tolling of the college bells across the misted rooftops, and I am reminded that, for a brief and wondrous time, I walked among them as both student and dreamer and was forever changed."
