Upon completion of the courses listed below, you may meet the coursework requirements for one of the following credentials:
- Preliminary Multiple Subject Credential
- Preliminary Single Subject Credential
- Preliminary Multiple Subject Credential and Education Specialist Credential in Mild to Moderate Support Needs (Dual Credential)
You may also earn a bilingual authorization with your multiple or single subject credential with one additional course and fulfillment of state testing requirements.

Simultaneously obtain two preliminary teaching credentials — Multiple Subject and Education Specialist in MMSN — in just 48 units! Candidates with both credentials will be equipped to teach all subjects in elementary schools and support students with MMSN from kindergarten through age 22.

Earning a bilingual authorization with your teaching credential will prepare you for highly demanded bilingual education programs within the state of California.
The bilingual authorization requires one additional course in addition to fulfilling the state subject matter requirements by exam, or through approved undergraduate course work. (Cal Lutheran undergraduates who earn a Spanish major or minor are able to waive the exam requirements.)

Master's Degree Option
After obtaining your credential through this program, you can complete a master's degree for only 3 additional classes, which helps with salary growth (close to 50% of all California public school teachers hold a master's degree).
