About

Eric Knight, CFRE, is a purpose-driven nonprofit executive with a proven track record of transforming organizational leadership, strategic planning, and fundraising excellence. As a Certified Fundraising Executive, Eric has successfully led multiple nonprofit organizations across diverse sectors, including healthcare, animal welfare, cultural institutions, and community services.

Most recently, Eric served as Executive Director of the Conejo Free Clinic, where he expanded clinical capacity and developed innovative revenue strategies. Previously, he led the Humane Society of Ventura County, managing $45 million in assets and implementing a groundbreaking "New Era" initiative that generated $19.6 million in revenue. Eric is currently working as a nonprofit consultant and philanthropic advisor, and sits on the Board of The Greater Contribution, a 501(c)(3) that serves impoverished women and girls in Uganda by providing financial support and development programs to reduce poverty, disease, hunger, illiteracy, and gender inequality.

With a background spanning nonprofit development, strategic planning, and community engagement, Eric has consistently demonstrated an ability to build high-performing teams, create sustainable revenue streams, and drive meaningful social impact. His leadership philosophy centers on mobilizing diverse stakeholders toward shared visions while ensuring financial sustainability and operational excellence.

A graduate of Columbia College with a Bachelor of Arts in Film Studies, Eric brings a unique creative perspective to nonprofit management. He is an active member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and has completed leadership development programs with the Ventura County Leadership Academy and American Cancer Society.
