Becoming a Mentee
- Personalized Mentorship-Be paired with a Cal Lutheran staff mentor who will serve as your guide, coach, and supporter—offering career insights tailored to your goals.
- Career & Professional Development-Participate in career readiness workshops focused on preparing you for the workforce, including networking events designed to build your confidence and connections.
- Experiential Learning Trip-Get hands-on exposure to a local industry in Ventura County and get a behind-the-scenes look at different potential career paths. (Transportation provided!)
- Priority Access to VITAL Internship Stipends-Apply for up to $4,000 in funding for unpaid or underpaid internships (Spring 2026 cohort).
- Free Food at Every Event-Yes, every workshop and event includes delicious free food!
- Swag & Exclusive Goodies-Free swag, goodies, and an exclusive Project VITAL Gumby sticker!
- Open to all traditional undergraduate students, including DREAMers and international students who are rising sophomores, juniors, and seniors
- No minimum GPA-must be in good academic standing
- Proactively connect with your mentor throughout the Fall 2025 semester (September, October, and November) not limited to just three times in the semester
- Attend the kick-off event & end of program celebration
- Attend all workshop/events in the mentorship program, dedicating 23 hours of participation time
- Attend at least one campus event/activity with your mentor (career development that will be supplemental to your career trajectory)
