Conversations Across Difference: Election Season

Join us for Courageous Conversations, an opportunity for students to come together during the election season and engage in meaningful dialogue across differences. The evening will begin with a community social from 5:00–5:30 PM, where students are invited to enjoy food, connect with one another, and settle into the space before the conversation begins.

From 5:30–6:30 PM, faculty facilitators will guide students through thoughtful conversation, providing opportunities to share perspectives, listen to the experiences and viewpoints of others, and explore how we can remain in community even when we may disagree. Rather than focusing on debate or changing one another’s minds, Courageous Conversations encourages curiosity, active listening, and respectful engagement across differences.

Following the facilitated conversation, students are encouraged to stay in community until 7:00 PM, continue connecting with one another, and reflect on the conversations shared throughout the evening. Whether you have a lot to say or simply want to listen and learn from others, all students are welcome. Food will be provided!
