The School of Management accepts its responsibility to not only serve its students through excellent classroom experiences, but also with their high-quality scholarship and community-related activities. Our three centers – the Center for Economic Research and Forecasting (CERF), the Steven Dorfman Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (SDCIE), and the Center for Economics of Social Issues (CESI) - conduct, present, and publish research, they organize public events, and are involved in community-related activities.

Recognized nationwide as a premier forecasting house and a member of the Wall Street Journal’s Economic Forecasting Survey, the Center for Economic Research and Forecasting (CERF) provides accurate economic forecasts at the national, state, and regional level. CERF researchers have won the Zillow Crystal Ball Award for the most accurate Home Price Expectations in several years, and they publish the acclaimed Latino GDP Report.

Steven Dorfman Center for Innovation and  
Entrepreneurship

The Dorfman Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (SDCIE) is dedicated to the study and practice of innovation and Entrepreneurship. It uses the latest teaching techniques in both undergraduate and graduate programs, organizes and annual New Venture Fair, awards incubation grants to early-stage companies, and operates Hub101, a startup community space.
