Enroll in Benefits
Enrolling in benefits as a new employee is a time-sensitive task. You can make your benefit elections shortly after starting onboarding — follow this timeline of actions to stay on track.
Your action items:
- Day 1: Attend the onboarding session on Your First Day to receive an overview of your benefits.
- Days 7-14: Enroll in benefits via our online portal.
- Day 30 (initial enrollment deadline): Your last chance to make changes to your benefit elections.
- Days 60-90: Attend optional sessions on retirement planning and wellness.
Note: You can begin enrolling in benefits on your first day, when the enrollment button
will activate.
What happens if you miss your Day 30 initial enrollment deadline?
You’ll need to wait until Open Enrollment to make your election benefits — unless a qualifying life event arises (e.g., marriage, birth, loss of coverage).
When can you add dependents to your enrolled benefits?
During initial enrollment, Open Enrollment, or within 30 days of a qualifying life event (documentation is required, such as a marriage or birth certificate).
How do you access the online portal to enroll in benefits?
After your first day, click the enrollment button on this page and use your MyCLU username to log in. You won't be able to access the online portal until your first day.
