Each year the International Day of Peace is observed around the world on Sept. 21. The UN General Assembly has declared this as a day devoted to strengthening the ideals of peace, through observing 24 hours of nonviolence and cease-fire. #IDP2023

The Center for Global Engagement invites you to join the efforts of the international community as we focus on reaching the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and contribute to building sustainable peace.

 


Procession for Peace

Come join the Center for Global Engagement for International Day of Peace at the Procession for Peace. We will celebrate different countries around the globe by carrying flags from the CGE and ending at the Samuelson Chapel.

Reflections on Peace

Samuelson Chapel & Rose Garden | THURSDAY SEPT. 21 FROM 11:25 AM TO 12:15 PM

You are invited to join Campus Ministry and the Center for Global Engagement during Thursday Sept. 21 chapel service to gather for a time of reflection, and prayers for peace. The service will be immediately followed by a minute of silence and a rededication ceremony in front of our Peace Pole (rose garden by the Chapel)
