School of Management HSI and CHESS

California Lutheran University is recognized as a Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI), showcasing its dedication to fulfilling its mission amidst the evolving landscape of student demographics. This transformation prioritizes the achievement of success for all historically marginalized students, particularly those who identify as Latinx and/or come from low-income backgrounds.

Project CHESS serves historically marginalized and low-income students at California Lutheran University as well as those who want an opportunity to build leadership skills and connections. School of Management faculty trained in this initiative are John Garcia, Dan Hamilton, and Renee Rock.

Recognized nationwide as a premier forecasting house and a member of the Wall Street Journal’s Economic Forecasting Survey, the Center for Economic Research and Forecasting (CERF) provides accurate economic forecasts at the national, state, and regional level. CERF researchers have won the Zillow Crystal Ball Award for the most accurate Home Price Expectations in several years, and they publish the acclaimed Latino GDP Report.
