California’s Housing Crisis: Roots of the Problem and What Lies Ahead
At the Center for Economics of Social Issues' 2026 conference, community members, local leaders, nonprofits, businesses, and policy experts will explore the roots of California’s housing challenges. Learn how our economy allocates resources, challenge assumptions about markets, profitability, and discover what true success means for communities.
Presenters will share the latest research and data in clear and accessible ways, and create space for vibrant discussion among residents, institutions, and experts. Ultimately, attendees will learn practical policy solutions that can be implemented at the city, county, and state levels with support from nonprofits, foundations, and the business community.
Cal Lutheran students, faculty, staff, or advisory council members can register for free. Alumni registration is $30, general admission is $50.
