Submitting Your Resignation

IconCal Lutheran respectfully requests that employees provide advance notice when resigning.

How much notice is requested:
  • Employees in non-management positions: As a general guideline, at least two weeks’ notice is requested to allow for a smooth transition and planning for a replacement.
  • Employees in management positions: Managers are asked to provide a minimum of 30 days’ notice. During peak operational periods, additional notice may be especially helpful to support departmental needs.

How to submit your resignation:
  1. Prepare a formal resignation letter stating your intended last day of employment.
  2. Sign the letter by hand (digital signature not recommended).
  3. Scan and email the signed letter as an attachment to both your supervisor and hr@CalLutheran.edu.

Providing advance notice helps ensure a smooth transition for you, your team, and the Human Resources office.
