Welcoming the New Sports Management Program Director, Mark Orlando
A warm welcome to Mark Orlando in his new full-time role as faculty member and Program Director for the Sports Management program. Previously, Mark has served as an adjunct professor at the School of Management and Interim Program Director for the Hospitality and Tourism Management program. As a Cal Lutheran alumnus, Mark always wanted to return to the university community that had set the foundation for his academic career. Mark has earned his Ed.D. from Pepperdine University, has served as a lecturer for the sports management program at UC Santa Barbara, and he facilitates workshops and courses at MiraCosta College’s Emerging Leaders Institute and UCSB’s Professional and Continuing Education. His own research on hiring criteria in big market sport professions has inspired Mark to create his own company that educates aspiring and progressive sport professionals.
