Hub101 Hosts Panel Discussing Angel Investing
On April 30, Hub101 hosted the event "Angel Investing Uncovered: Insights, Impact and Opportunity". Our own Mike Panesis moderated a panel of angels and "angel-adjacents" that included Ken Borkan of TCA Los Angeles, Brent Reinke of Stradling Yocca Carlson & Rauth LLP, Jerome Tse of Berri Organics and Matt Lafferty of Curri. The event explored the in's and out's of angel investment, from both the founder and investor perspectives. Key takeaways were (1) angel investors can bring more than investment to the table; (2) founders should be evaluating investors as diligently as investors are evaluating them; and (3) today's unpredictable economic and political climates, while stressful, also create opportunities. Special thanks go to Kristin Bell and Desserin Pereyra for their usual phenomenal job of organizing everything!
