The SOM is AI (all in) on AI

Most instructors will remember that moment when they first got "ChatGPT-ed" almost two years ago. Since then, the School of Management has developed an AI policy that encourages the meaningful and ethical use of AI. More recently, Mike Panesis (Entrepreneurship) and Gerhard Apfelthaler have had the opportunity to attend a professional development seminar on "AI in Teaching" at Harvard University (see photo below) - thanks to a generous "Adjunct-Philanthropist" who attended the same program a few months earlier. In addition, we made Artificial Intelligence and how it transforms our teaching practices a key topic for our annual Start-of-the-Year Retreat and installed the AI@SOM Task Force to support our faculty in exchanging best practices and adapting their pedagogy to possibilities of the new technology. Our "Masterclasses" for returning alumni during Homecoming will also focus on different aspects of Artificial Intelligence. Great things to come!
