VCLA visits campus and the SOM!
On October 9, participants in the latest cohort of the Ventura County Leadership Academy (VCLA) visited campus. Thanks to organizers Rosie Baker and Hana Petr, Dustin Tondreau (AVP, Wealth Management, OceanAir Wealth Management), Bernize Ayala (Program Officer of Women’s Economic Ventures), Sacheen Swan (Civil Law Clerk at the County of Ventura), and Zach Baliva (Public Information Officer & Director of Communications at the Port of Hueneme) met with our own Matthew Fienup (Center for Economic Research and Forecasting) who gave a presentation on CERF's forecasting work and Latino GDP research. Afterwards, they met with SOM undergraduates Salvatore Pisa and Mateo Sonaglia. Judging by Dustin's and Berenize's LinkedIn posts, they seemed to have enjoyed their visit!
