Women in Business club holds inaugural event
Our new Women in Business student club held its inaugural event. Club co-presidents Andrea Villasenor and Brissa Castaneda welcomed special guest and speaker Laura Moreno Lucas. She not only had a very inspiring personal story of her early upbringing in Mexico and the United States to tell, but Ms. Moreno Lucas also brought valuable advice from her distinguished career as a finance executive, entrepreneur, and investor to an excited audience of students and faculty. Ms. Moreno Lucas introduced a special guest, Fanny Grande, a Latina film executive and founder of Avineda Productions, who also inspired the audience with her journey so far in attempting to disrupt the entertainment business in Los Angeles. Ms. Moreno Lucas also serves on the Advisory Council for the Steven Dorfman Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship. Learn about all of our business clubs here.
