Biotech at Hub101!
On October 14, Hub101, together with Tech Coast Angels (TCA) and the BioScience Alliance (BSA) hosted a gathering on "The Emerging Biotech Cluster in the Conejo Valley. After an introduction by Brent Reinke (Stradling), a panel consisting of Zubi Olin (NSF I-Corps Consultant, UCLA), Nick Focil (CEO, FOMAT), Brenda McCabe (Founder, NextAct Advisors), and Jim Miller (CEO, OMEAT) discussed factors that contribute to the rapid growth of the biotech industry in our region. It was wonderful to see not only a full house at Hub101, but also to welcome two School of Management alumni - Zubi Olin (Business Administration) and Nick Focil (MBA) - on the panel!
