Welcoming New Staff Member, Pia Valtierra
Welcoming to our new staff member, Pia Valtierra! Pia is our new Graduate Program Specialist in MSIT. She earned a BS in Psychology with an emphasis in clinical and behavioral application from California Lutheran University. Previously, she worked as an administrative assistant in the healthcare industry in Santa Barbara and has experience working for the Yosemite Conservancy helping fundraise for the national park. She had the opportunity to work as a McNair student assistant where she gained experience in student management and program planning. Pia grew up next to the ocean in Santa Barbara California with her family and loves to paddleboard and surf. When she is not working, you will find her playing soccer, tennis, volleyball, or basketball with her friends. She has a passion for service and always knew she wanted to pursue a career where she could impact the lives of college students.
