Held Second Annual BioMedley Event

On November 11, SOM co-hosted the 2nd BioMedley event at a private home in the Santa Rosa Valley. The event was attended by a large number of representatives from the newly emerging biotech industry in the Conejo Valley, many of them former Amgen employees (Interesting factoid: LinkedIn lists close to 1,000 Cal Lutheran alumni as current or former employees of Amgen!). A panel of biotech leaders that included Dean's Executive Council member and adjunct professor Amie Krause (Atara Biotherapeutics) as well as Advisory Council member Elaine Salewske (Takeda Pharmaceuticals) was interviewed by CNBC's Jane Wells. The event was also co-hosted by MBA alumnus Viktor Fakhroga (Community West Bank), and other Cal Lutheran alumni were also in attendance. As a Cal Lutheran Student, you have the opportunity to connect with our broad array of alumni currently working at corporations in the local area and beyond.
