The SOM is social!

Thanks to the growing expertise of our own Rosie Baker, Communications Manager, and her team of student SOM Brand Ambassadors (SOMBA), the first half of 2025 showed exceptional increases in visibility and engagement on our various social media platforms. Just to provide a few tidbits: Compared with the fall semester, LinkedIn page engagements in the spring were up 35.3%, post impressions up 26.8%; Instagram impressions were up 16.5%, unique likes up 27.7%, and post shares increased by a staggering 133%; YouTube video views increased but 38.3%, and total post impressions across all our platforms increased by 37.5%. Over the last three years, the students' work has resulted in 1.2 million impressions for the SOM. What started as a grassroots initiative is now a program that teaches students real skills, awards internship credits, and even gets them jobs. Congratulations to our social media wizards!
