"Fields of Opportunity" Event from Sports Management Program
On April 17 our Sports Management program held their annual "Fields of Opportunity" event, a combination of table conversations with executives from this unique industry and a career fair. Program Director Mark Orlando with strong support from student leaders Abby Blom and Kennedy Lazenby brought and impressive lineup of leaders including Kate Sheets (Senior VP Strategy & Business Affairs, Anschutz Entertainment Group), Max Kelton (Play-by-Play Announcer, Analyst at Learfield & Pac 12 Networks), Nick Bermensolo (VP Security, SoFi Stadium and Hollywood Park), Felisa Israel (Principal Owner, 10 Fold Entertainment), Madison Martins (Clinical Sport Psychology, University of Southeran California), Oliver Hawkins (Production Assistant, Fox Sport), Don Franken (President, World Class Sports NIL), Justin Peterson (Senior Manager Ticket Sales, Anaheim Ducks), Lauren Levra (Manager Ticket Sales, LAFC), Steve Potts (former Director of Athletics, Pepperdine University), Giovanni Ortiz (Training Manager Security, SoFi Stadium & Hollywood Park), Jackson New-Smith (Manager Strategic Partnerships, UNINTERRUPTED, The SpringHill Company), Alec Palmer (Manager Social Media, Los Angeles Kings), Steele Frey (Director of Business Development, Sports Academy), Chris Bergin (Director of Business Operations, Sports Academy), Bill Battin (Senior VP On-Air Marketing, Fox Sports), and Indi Johnson (Men's Basketball Academic Success Counselor, UCLA Athletics) to campus.
